I am trying to find information about my great grandmother: Jane Lily Ann ELDRED( nee Peters. )(1865-1934). She was an Assistant Surgeon of Midwifery in Mulkan India. There is also a mention of a baby left on the door step, who they called PETRONELLA who my mum believes was much older then them and used to be an air hostess.

The twins went to school at St Josephs in Cuttact and boarded, they went home in the holidays by train which were full of girls and nuns, they enjoyed sleeping in the top bunks and stopping off at stations for tea, they were given their own tiffin boxes with food for the journey. They left India in 1962 and moved to Swindon to be nearer Denzil Peters family
