Hello. I am searching for the mother "Indian mistress" of my forefather. My husband and I have been researching for around 6 years and can find almost anyone and anything except her. The only clue we have (other than DNA) is a small piece in his last will and testament...Henry Anderson O'Donnell served in the British East India Company and had a son to an Indian mistress to whom I descend from. In his will he calls her a "native woman called Nurbrath Bibby". That is all that is in his will about her. Their son was born in 1787 in Calcutta and sent to America with his Uncle Captain John O'Donnell in 1789. Any help would be so appreciated as to who she was.

Henry did marry Mary Brownrig but this was after he had two sons to Indian women. My Henry who was brought to America and Sir Charles Routledge ODonnell who was sent to England. Henry Anderson dies in 1841 in Limerick with only mentions of these two children in his will.  Thank you! Victoria Kratzer de Jong
