If there is any Speechly/speechley out there that thinks their family tree is connected, then please get in touch with me I consider it’s likely that my early 19th century ancestors were from England and had military careers in India. George Speechley, a Private in the 3rd Madras fusiliers were awarded the Indian Mutiny Medal and had three sons, one being James (1827-1869).
